Children and pets are welcome, noting however that Myola is a rural property and accordingly you may encounter livestock, creeks, dams, native wildlife and other hazards during your stay. The fencing on the property is stock fencing and will not contain dogs. For hygiene reasons, pets are not allowed on beds or furniture.
We welcome events such as elopements and photoshoots, please contact us to discuss (written agreement required and additional costs apply).
Undeclared guests impact our insurances and biosecurity, as well as putting a strain on our water usage and septic system. Please note that unauthorised guests will result in booking cancellation and/or additional fees ($100 per person, per night).
Unfortunately, smoking is not permitted on the property due to bushfire risk.
As mentioned in the listing, you may encounter many types of insects and wildlife during your stay. Please note that refunds will not be given on the basis that you encounter insects or wildlife.
Finally, please note that we have external security cameras monitoring the driveway and front of the house.
Are you dog friendly?
Yes - we love dogs! However - please note that our fencing is cattle fencing and will not contain dogs. We do have soft barriers to keep dogs contained on the wrap around verandah. We ask that dogs do not go on beds or furniture for hygiene reasons, and that you pick up after your dog. Please do not allow your dog to chase the cattle for everyone's safety.
Do you have any farm animals?
We currently have 5 steers; Harry, Larry, Vito, Lightning and Jimmy Recard. Why do they have such weird names? Because the kids named them! We are using a virtual fencing system, so they wear collars. Using this system, we are able to exclude the cattle from sensitive riparian areas and create and change paddocks for rotational grazing.
Being situated on a hill, there is a large flight of stairs up to the front door.
All doors have 820 mm clearance and the house is generally quite spacious and uncluttered.
The shower in the second bathroom has a flush threshold.
There is a ramp from the back of the house into the back yard, though there are no formed pathways around the house or on the property.
Our goal is to construct beautiful, accessible & off grid cabins - so please check in again soon!
