We really are lucky to have so many quality options right here in our little town. The majority of cafes are in the main street (Williams St), from the Silverwood Cafe at one end, up to the Crown Hotel at the other. Woodside Ceramics (now Jimmy Pickles) is on Mackenzie Street, just near the pub.
Silverwood Cafe & Bar ( lovely home made food, live music some evenings)
Sugar Rush Dayboro (ice cream and lolly shop)
The Old Storehouse (café with beautiful home made food as well as charcuterie / picnic items)
Dayboro Bakery (the usual suspects in addition to a great range of freshly made sandwiches)
Dayboro IGA
The Dayboro Drop (tapas, beers on tap, voted the best parmi in Brisbane)
Mam’s Thai Takeaway @ The Dayboro Drop (Wednesdays)
Dayboro Gelateria
Johnny’s Pizza (woodfired takeaway pizza)
Dayboro Village Meats (excellent butcher, quality ready made meal items)
Dayboro Sugar Mill (Beers & Burgers, live music some evenings, bookings recommended)
Rendezvous Bookshop & Café
The Crown Hotel (live music some evenings, bottle shop)
Jimmy Pickles (previously Woodside Ceramics, Fonzie Abbott Coffee, drop in or pre-order on Bopple app)
Dayboro Bowls Club (barefoot bowls & dinner Friday nights, fortnightly. Check the Dayboro Bowls Club facebook page for dates)
If you would like to extend your support to the businesses in our small town, the IGA has an excellent selection of groceries, the butcher is amazing, and the Storehouse has beautiful cheeses and charcuterie items (you can even purchase a vintage picnic basket from here). Fuel (and firewood) is also available at the Caltex on Williams Street.
If you feel like cooking up a storm, join the REKO Dayboro facebook page. Order a variety of quality seasonal and local produce items to be collected Saturday mornings in town. Visit https://www.rekoaustralia.org.au/ for information on what REKO is all about and the REKO Dayboro facebook page to order. ‘Paddock to plate’ gourmet ready made meals are also available from the award winning chefs at Nurture Food (https://www.nurturefood.com.au/) - these are highly recommended and perfect for groups.

Kobble Creek Lychees – super fresh as they’re packed and sold within 24 hours. Honestly, the best lychees you will ever eat! Check our their instagram (@kobblecreeklychees) or facebook page for details, the season usually runs from December through January.
Locally grown pineapples from Wrucks Pineapple Farm – often sold in the main street on weekends during the season. They’re delicious!

Myola is less than an hour from Brisbane, and about 5 minutes to the lovely country town of Dayboro. I know we’re biased, but really – you should visit Dayboro! It’s a vibrant and friendly little town, there are so many great food options as well as lovely artisanal shops and historical information. For such a small town, it really does punch above its weight, with a strong community spirit to boot.
The other day we stopped in for a coffee and ended up with a delicious pineapple (grown just down the road) and very nearly a border collie pup. Definitely call in to The Churn Room and The Handmade Closet located in the old butter factory, we can’t say enough good things about this space.

If you feel like venturing further afield, take a scenic drive up to Mount Mee calling in to vineyards and farm gates along the way. Best pack your togs and your runners though, because there’s some stunning water holes as well as D’Aguilar National Park to explore. Our favourite adventure is a picnic at The Gantry and a swim at Rocky Hole (you may need a 4WD to get to Rocky Hole, depending on road conditions) or Bulls Falls.
